weekend: friday night beaux and arrows dance. such a fun night with all my pi phi sisters. dress, jewelry and shoes are all from forever 21. 

a few of my favorite things from my day in santa fe: 

1. all of the spanish architecture, art galleries, alleyways full of little shops and friendly people.
2. the delicious sugar crepe that i enjoyed at the famous french pastry shop.
3. the reoccurring bright turquoise doors against adobe walls in the santa fe plaza.
4. tasting some of the most amazing olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and sea salts at oleaceae. ever since my trip to italy i cant seem to get enough of olive oil so spending an hour tasting over thirty olive oils was pure heaven. 

weekend hike in albuquerque. i need to move somewhere with mountains in the near future, so beautiful!

literally died when i opened my mail this morning. apparently when i was in fifth grade we had the assignment of writing ourselves a letter… which i made clear to myself by writing “i had to do this for school” on the inside of the envelope. a few things that caught my attention:

• i must have been obsessed with signing my name.
• this letter was written during the gelly roll pen era. 
• my excessive doodling started at an early age. 
• i think i was trying to impress my future self by writing the entire letter in cursive.
• im glad i was under the impression people thought i looked good in braces… little did i know i would have them for six more years instead of three. 
• my biggest concern at the time was who i was going to the backstreet boys concert with. 
• i wanted to be a pediatrician or a chef?
• my ten year old self would be sad to know that my odd obsession with frogs has sadly ended… and no my screen name is not jsfroggie12 anymore.

one of the reasons why i love valentines day is because it involves sending and receiving three of my favorite things: flowers, chocolates and handwritten letters/cards. due to the lack of cute valentines in stores and a little bit of free time.. i decided to make my own this year. it was super easy, inexpensive and a good excuse to get creative.
