a few snapshots from the weekend.

{sunday morning doughnuts from the doughnut shop. pure heaven.}

{i treated myself to a manicure on friday… not sure if it was a good idea because it made me realize how terrible i am at painting my nails.}

{finally found the perfect jean shorts at h&m (shocker), along with a red leather braided belt and colorful beaded bracelets.}

{good friends + cocktails + warm weather + colorful citronella candles = the perfect saturday night on the porch.}

a few pictures from thursday night dinner at la jolla and friday night drinks at my house. it was so nice to get together with some of my girlfriends and catch up. our time spent together made me realize how much i miss living with these girls and seeing them everyday… if only we all lived in the same city and had the same crazy schedules.

new shoes.

it was love at first sight with these shoes. typically i do not shop at nine west but after the nordstrom shoe department left me empty handed i figured why not check out the nine west selection??… so happy i did! first off these shoes are the bomb dot com (yes i said it) and second off they were fourty percent off. shoe heaven.

in an attempt to tame my ever present sweet tooth, i decide to try this “healthy” banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe from bethenny frankel. the cookies were super easy to make and surprisingly really good! based on how fast they disappeared from the cookie jar, i think my family agrees.

sunday brunch.

i have come to the conclusion that brunch is officially my favorite meal. im not sure if i love the food or the sleeping in more? this sunday my favorite thing about brunch with my mom and aunt beth (aside from the fact that we ate at cafe patachou), was the uniform of stripes and wayfarers. great minds think alike?

in honor of best friends day (and a day off work) i decided to make my version of a friendship bracelet. i know typical friendship bracelets are made of colorful thread but in my world simple handmade bracelets count too.

supplies: gold chain, a colorful bead, one lobster clasp, and pliers.

54th street art fair.

attending local art fairs has become my new favorite way to spend sunday afternoon. i especially enjoyed the 54th street art fair because i walked away with a few fun finds and ran into a few familiar faces.

{ a new hermes inspired bottle cap magnet to add to my collection from wilma and betty designs. }

{ a vintage necklace from the 60’s which has become my new prized possession… it was love at first sight. }

how cute is my baby brother alex?? he graduated from eight grade tonight and i could not be more proud of him! i am looking forward to reliving my high school days through him when he goes to cathedral in the fall.
